Welcome from Teen President Jonathan Ward

Greetings Mid-Atlantic Teens,

ree

I’m so excited to welcome you to our 69th MARvelous Mid-Atlantic Regional Teen Leadership Conference. Throughout this program year, your Regional Teen Officers have worked to put together a vision for a fantastic 2022 Teen Leadership Conference for all. So far, we’ve had an amazing program year and I thank you for implementing the B.L.U.E. print! In spite of the pandemic, we have been able to engage at COPA of the South and the Regional Family Event at the Charlotte Hornets basketball game in Charlotte, NC. We are starting to see a little light at the end of the tunnel. Even though things look uncertain at times and we don’t fully know what the future holds, I am proud that all of us have continued to make an impact at the chapter and regional level in the name of Jack and Jill. Our Mid-Atlantic Regional Executive Board, Regional Teen Officers and mothers and teens of the Chesapeake and Hampton chapters are ready to welcome and host you in Hampton, Virginia. This year we are going “Black to the Future.” While we enjoy the present, it is important to not forget our past that will help us plan for the future. During TLC, our journey from the past, present and future will include workshops, town-halls, plenary sessions, special programs and lots of opportunities to meet new teens, create new friendships and reconnect in general. After all, it has been two years since we have been able to hold our traditional conference. Until we come together in June, I ask that you continue to implement our B.L.U.E.print plan by building strong relationships, leading in your community, unlocking your potential and engaging all teens in your chapter. Looking forward to seeing everyone real soon.
